The Focus on the Global South-Philippines (FOCUS-Philippines) and the UP Main Library would like to invite everyone to the launching on Hon. Walden Bello’s new book entitled “Food Wars.” This will be held on September 4, 2009 at the UP Main Library, Filipiniana Section from 4 to 6pm.
The book presents Hon. Bello’s analysis of the global food crisis, the continuing struggle between small-family based agriculture and capitalist industrial agriculture, its implications to the peasantry and their continuing struggle. The book is published by Verso and printed in the United States by Maple Vail this year, 2009.
