Kicking off a week of global launches of its latest documentary, WTO: Why is it really bad for you, Focus on the Global South hosted its first international event in Bangkok, Thailand (14 November 2005). This video is crucial for all people to see. It explains what the WTO is, and what is really at stake. WTO decisions have a direct impact on all of us rice farmers, fisherpeople, workers, students and the everyday person in the street, said Mr Chomthongdi, who launched the video.

Remember that there is nothing in the WTO round of negotiations that will benefit the developing countries and the majority of the world’s peoples.
If we do nothing, another undemocratic and unfair series of agreements will be made behind closed doors at the WTO Ministerial in Hong Kong. No deal is better than a bad deal!
