Focus on the Global South-Philippines Programme presents Dr. Chandra Muzaffar in its 2011 Speaker Tour series.  Muzaffar is a known Muslim social activist and academic who has published extensively on civilizational dialogue, international politics, religion, human rights and Malaysian society.

Focus holds a bi-annual activity under its program called the Deconstructing Discourse and Activist Retooling Program or DDARP. It is a project that aims to revisit debates on contemporary development issues, ideologies and paradigms, and seeks to introduce new frontiers in analyses and perspectives that can contribute to knowledge production, critical discourse and political action.  DDARP usually features programmatic short-term courses (lecture series), one-time public lectures, roundtable discussions or forum by nationally and internationally acclaimed scholars who are leading experts in their respective fields.

This year, the main theme for DDARP’s series is the “Right to Self-determination.” For more information, please visithttps://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=270988539604183
