ORGANIZATION: Thai Working Group for Climate Justice (TCJ) & partners and alliances

Pertaining to the UNFCCC’s next round of workshops/negotiations to be organized in Bangkok during April 3rd – 8th 2001 (AWG-KP 16 and AWG-LCA 14) referring here as ‘April 2011 Bangkok Talk’.  The Thai Working Group for Climate Justice (TCJ) together with the Philippines Movements on Climate Justice (PMCJ), Focus on the Global South (Focus) together with partners and alliances in Thailand, Mekong region, and Southeast Asia are organizing a series of activities and actions.

The aims of these events are campaigning climate justice to the general public and strengthening network of civil society calling for climate justice in the region while sharing and discussing current situation on significant issues of concern. These issues include carbon trading especially in the forest sector (REDD) and the concept of ‘Rights of Mother Earth’ advocated by the People’s Agreement of Cochabamba.
