This series features short papers by leading researchers on the gender–climate nexus. These think pieces were commissioned to inform the upcoming edition of the flagship report “Progress of the world’s women”, which will be published in 2026 and provide a comprehensive analysis of the rapidly accelerating heating of the planet and the stalled progress for the world’s women and girls.
The series delves into critical topics such as human rights, food systems transformation, accountability, reparations, intersectionality, and interdependence. Each piece aims to provide robust analysis and innovative perspectives on how feminist climate justice can drive transformative, sustainable change to achieve gender equality and realize women’s rights.
