As we mark one year of Israel’s latest genocidal war of aggression against Palestine, the peoples of Southeast Asia refused to stay silent as they gathered and walked from BTS Chit Lom to CentralWorld and MBK Center in a solidarity march for Palestinians and all oppressed peoples of the world. Led by the THAI for Palestine, Serii-Palestine, and Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) Thailand, the march saw hundreds of protesters demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Palestine and across the region. They add their voice to the growing movement of peace-loving peoples calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza by the occuping power Israel, and holding to account Israel and its allies for the human rights violations and crimes against humanity they have committed and continue to commit. Chants of “Free free Palestine, Lebanon, Burma” filled the air as diverse peoples and rainbow movements for peace, democracy, and liberation converged in Bangkok, Thailand. 2024 October 5.
