Focus on the Global South joins movements and peoples organizations in the Philippines in mourning the death of one of its respected leaders Isagani R. Serrano, President of the Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement (PRRM). Gani, a close ally and friend of Focus, shared his insights on alternatives to corporate globalization during many global and regional conferences and meetings that we have organized over the years. Gani contributed immensely through his life and work, especially with rural communities, to the task of building people’s movements aspiring for, to use his words, “fairness in a fragile world”.
